Grandma Nora's Front Porch

I just keep thinking about her. How I miss her. These past few years, I am surprised at how quickly, immediately, my mind runs to her small simple white house with sweet front porch set just off the road in south GA. Grandma Nora knew Jesus and He knew /knows her. She loved so many people and care for them in her simple and unassuming way. I feel so easily distracted by the glitz and striving and goals and such of my life right now...that the most peaceful place is Grandma Nora's front porch. I guess in reality, I'll always have her front porch. I'll always have the memory of her smile and her love. ...and her green beans just warming up on the stove for the my family as we're just passing through. She loved with her heart, her smile, her words...not with things and connections and stuff.
I hope I'll be like Grandma Nora when I'm 90 and my front porch will be someone else's Peaceful place.

I was just thinking about her and her front porch. Missing her I guess, and wanted to write about it.
