Prelude to A Proposal...

It was late in November or very early in December, and no special date night was set up yet...nothing that I could point to as .."hey..maybe it's this night!" Earlier in September and October, I had thought for sure he would ask in December...what a romantic time to ask right?! :)
But,...December began filling up FAST...and no special time was hinted at or requested...so...
he's not gonna ask in December. I was a little disappointed. Okay, more than a little. But, I've learned from Darren, that "let's play it by ear" is his motto. I've also learned that he waits until it "feels right"....and, I really appreciated that in him. Also, because he would ask when he was ready...ready for my answer and ready for the opportunity to hold my heart. I didn't want him to ask until he was ready for that. So...I trusted him. and trusted God to lead him....
So...it wasn't happening in December. :( but....we've decided to take my birthday off from work and play all day...so...I was thinking......special day... and so, I had a day to look forward to...maybe that would be the day. :) ........

besides he had to ask Dad...and Dad hadn't said anything yet....
