Grounded with Faith and Values...
So, I got caught up in "more money" to a point, is better....
Well, I was wrong.
Let me explain.
More money for the sake of "more money" is empty, frustrating and futile. More money for a sense of greater security...well...that's more definable.....so, set out on paper what makes you feel secure financially, and what to do you need to do to get there.
More money for a great sense of self-worth.....
the shallowest of all.
You need to sit down and write out (yes, thinking and talking about it aren't good enough here.)...why would more money help you feel more worthwhile as a person? Would "so and so" like you more? would the nicer clothes make you feel more accepted by a certain crowd? What's your aim, ambition? What is driving you? Write it down. Then think about it and pray about it.
Money and the things money can buy are not wrong. They are tools and resources. Feeling pretty/handsome, being able to afford the "nicer" things in life...are great! But the moment the ability to have that begins to define you as a person, your worth, your esteem, your friendships.....
you need to step back and re-evaluate. Your headed to a downward spiral that money can't buy your way out of.
If "money"..the things it can afford, have your heart and worth....you're bankrupt.
Go to Christ, find your worth in Him and what He says about you. and If your money starts pulling at your heart....give some of it away...
That is so empowering and freeing. It's like changing authority...you over money instead of it over you.
Think about it. Your life is precious. Your smile is contagious and your encouragment to a friend lifts them up. Those are priceless treasures.....fill your heart with them! :)
