Burns' Thoughts

Holidays are here!

Hi! I'm so excited to have remembered my password!! :) I think that is a key sign that I should log in more often.

Following my last post, I no longer work the second job. I miss the extra money and the people were nice, but I have been enjoying the "extra" time....since August! Yay!

So what's new? Adventure 1: My sister Lenore and I braved the crazy crowds at 5 a.m. Friday after Thanksgiving day, to get in on the sales action. I did get some nice things and except for Dad, I have everyone's present. Wahoo! I think I got too many "presents" for me though..... everything looked so nice! ...except the credit card bill...but, that will be paid off in 2 months.

Adventure 2: Darren Drake!! :) A great, wonderful fun man that I've been dating for almost a year now! :) He is remodeling his very old home and he's doing a great job! It really looks beautiful! His parents and brothers have put some sweat equity (hard work) into it as well and they all impress me with what they come up with.

Adventure 3: pursuing a dream. Fun! I've wanted to make a CD for a while now. Not because I really think I'm a ton better than others out there, but to express parts of me, my heart and talents God's given. To bless those who will hear it and to just reach a big goal. So, the plan is to have a few vocal songs and then a few saxophone pieces. I hope to have it ready before next Christmas.

Adventure 4: Another dream and goal. Writing a book about things God has shown me in my life these past few years. Maybe it'll encourage someone. Regardless, it's been on my mind for 2 years now, time to work on it and finish it up.

Adventure 5: ....at this point, I am realizing that everyday life can be an adventure, with the right perspective. So, I guess I'll just blog life and not "force" adventures...:)

I completed an intense cycling study for a friend at UGA. Yes, I was a lab rat. It was tough tough tough! But, a great sense of accomplishment when I finished. I honestly think pushing myself hard and being commited to finishing helped spark a lot fo the other "adventures" in my life.

Passion in life is so contagious and I really want to be a catalyst for spreading it rather than stopping it.

Kimberly is back from Brazil and she had a wonderful time. It's good to have her back safely and soundly, but I know she misses the people there.

Thanksgiving was wonderful!! Hope all of you are doing well!

Ta ta for now,
Brennen
